Heating
A lot of products coagulate at room temperature and need to be heated to facilitate handling. There are a number of options available for temporary storage to heat products in such a way that they become fluid once again and can be further processed. Products can be heated using the following methods:
Steam: This is the most frequently applied method. Stubbe's steam generator has sufficient capacity to heat up the high pressure water for the cleaning, in addition to heating the trailers and containers.
Electricity: Electrically heated containers and trailers allow controlled heating to be applied at a set temperature. Special containers are also available with heating up to 200 degrees Celsius. A large number of trailers are provided with a heating system which can be connected to the trucks to maintain temperatures en route.
Warm water: Flammable products require proper energy control and steam is often too hot as a medium for these products. Stubbe has introduced a warm water system specifically for this, safeguarding product quality.
An oven: Heating the barrels and IBCs is another option. Stubbe has converted a 20" container into an oven for this process. This allows up to 72 vats or 10 IBCs to be heated up to 100 degrees Celsius. The barrels can, for instance, subsequently be suctioned back into a container or trailer as bulk.
