Owner Rinus: "Anticipate and act"

Stubbe B.V. was founded in 1936 by Hendrik Stubbe with the focus on sand and grit transport. Subsequently the company was continued by Hendrik's son, Gerrit Stubbe, in 1947, who moved over to tank transport. After being employed for one year in payroll the current owner, Rinus Snel, took over the company in 1990.

"The tanker fleet was completely renewed and older tanks were used to start tankcontainer storage. This was the start of a transformation from a transport company to a complete logistics service supplier, which is generating ten times the turnover compared to before. "Our trucks are secondary to the other activities", and are only responsible for approximately 20% of the total turnover. Stubbe maintains an economic solvent policy in order to be able to invest and focus on adjacent services.

In order to represent the ideal future situation, Mr. Snel has a clear image to continue in a similar vein to the past: consolidate the good things from past experiences and continue the independent growth in unexplored markets. Stubbe today has an excellent management team and has the potential to continue with this current vision for many years, according to the current, proud owner Mr. Snel, who hopes to continue fulfilling his current role as owner and advisor for many years.
